Lulu was the second wife of Richard Hiram Coody. they married sometime between 1880 and 1900. After Richard Hiram died, Lulu married her brother-in-law, Joseph Turner Coody, November 27, 1929 in Cleburne, Johnson Co., Texas.

Mrs. Lula Coody
Mrs. Lula Coody, wife of J.T. Coody, passed away at the family residence near Blanton at 8:40 o'clock Tuesday morning. Aged 71 years.
Funeral services were held at the Blanton Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Billy Green. Interment was in the Blanton Cemetery.
Mrs. Coody was born near Goliad and was a resident of this state all her life.
Surviving are her husband, J.T. Coody, and one half sister, Mrs. Willie McCall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
