EDNA MAE DUFFIELD ... Edna Mae Duffield, daughter of William Andrew and Dora Maye [Ragan] Cox, was born in Mercer County, Missouri, on November 20, 1929, and passed away on April 1, 2011, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 81 years.


Edna Mae was raised in Mercer County and was a graduate of Mercer High School. She lived most of her life in Lineville, Iowa, where she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Baptist Church. She loved life and the outdoors, spending many hours in her garden and flower beds. She was a friend to all, and everyone who met her loved her. She will be missed by her family and friends, but they all know she is in a better place and planting flowers in heaven.


Edna Mae is survived by her daughter, Andrea Milbourn; her three sons, Alan Duffield, Arnold Duffield, and Alex Duffield; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and by other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Clone Dale Duffield; a great-grandchild, Alexis Bauer; and by her brother Clinton Cox.
