Emma Jean Wilson Beatty, age 87, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Sunday, February 13, 2005, in the home of her daughter with whom she resided. She was born to Jesse and Matilda (Mitchell) Wilson in York Run, Pa.

Mrs. Beatty was a member of the First Christian Church in Republic, Pa., and had worked for 30 years with the now former Health Mart Inc.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Albert C. Beatty in 1977, the following brothers and sister: Cpl. Alfred L. Wilson, Curtis J. Wilson, Wallace Wilson and Myrtle Cunningham, and her son-in-law, Edward Kindervater.

Surviving are the following children: Patty L. Kindervater and Ronald K. Beatty and his wife, Cindy, all of Hopwood, Gary L. Beatty of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and Linda S. Alt and her husband, Henry, of Ocean View, Delaware; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; these sisters and brothers: Ellen Cunningham of Fairchance, Pa., Bernice Kneff of Venetia, Pa., Mary Evers of Largo, Florida, Harold Wilson of Englewood, Colorado, Lloyd Wilson of Connellsville, Pa., and Melvin Wilson of Fairchance, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., on Tuesday, February 15, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Kenneth VanSickle officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a favorite charity.
