Andrews: Thelma Altman Ward, 79, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Ward was born in the Suttons community of Williamsburg Co. on January 4, 1928, a daughter of the late William Bryant Altman and Middie Louise Moore Altman. She was reared by her father and step-mother, Milba Pelt Altman, and was a graduate of Andrews High School. She retired from Oneita Industries in 1990.
Mrs. Ward was predeceased by: husbands, Lonnie W. Ward and Donald Parsons, a daughter, Judith Ann Parsons, two brothers, W. L. Altman and Douglas Altman; and two sisters, Beatrice Driggers and Linnie Mae McCutchen.
Survivors include: two sons, Donald Parsons, Jr. of Andrews and Alan Parsons of Baker, Fla.; four daughters, Donna Mercer and Grace Louise “Gracie” Parsons, both of Andrews and Annette P. Tilton and Susan Williamson, both of Georgetown; her step-mother of Andrews; a brother, Oneal Altman of Chapin; a sister, Janice Young of Andrews; eleven grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
