Kingstree - Linnie Mae Altman McCutchen, 83, widow of Alton L. McCutchen, died Sunday, March 27, in a Kingstree hospital. Mrs. McCutchen was born May 7, 1921, in the Suttons community of Williamsburg Co., a daughter of the late William Bryant Altman and Mrs. Mittle Louise Moore Altman. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingstree Second Baptist Church. Mrs. McCutchen was preceded in death by a sister, Willa Beatrice Driggers and 2 brothers, William Lee Altman and Douglas Altman. Surviving: her step-mother, Mrs. Milba Pelt Altman of Andrew; 2 sons, Flynn (Sharon) McCutchen of Kingstree, Al (Judy) McCutchen of Dalzell; 2 sisters, Thelma Ward and Janice Young both of Andrews; brother, Oneal Altman of Irmo; 4 grandchildren, Flynn (Kelley) McCutchen of Suffolk, Va., Hayley (Bryan) Cagle of Clayton, NC, Dane (Mandee) McCutchen of Rincon, Ga., and Kristin (Jason) Pearson of Sumter; 7 great-grandchildren, Bethany and Brandon McCutchen, Taylor, Kelsey and Ansley Cagle, Gracelyn McCutchen and Emily Cagle, due in June. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Williamsburg Funeral Chapel, with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Hospice, Georgetown or Williamsburg Community Church, Kingstree.
