Mr. Baurle was born in Baden, Germany on February 25, 1852. He came to this country in the year 1880 and arrived in Seymour June 19, on the 10:45 train over the B & O railroad. The following year he married Magdelena Hauersperger and five children were born to this union.
Besides his widow, the five children, William, Henry, Herman and Oliva of Jennings county and Mrs. Saddie Carpenter of this city, survive. Three brothers, Richard of Seymour, Henry and John, who live in Baden, Germany, also mourn his loss.
A member of the St. Ambrose Catholic church, Mr. Baurle was a devout believer and earnest worker in the activities of the faith. He was a man whose sterling character and personality will be remembered long after the body has been laid at rest.
Funeral services will be held at the Catholic church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning and burial will be made in the Riverview cemetery(burial was actually in the Catholic cemetery). The last rites for the deceased man will be in charge of the Rev. Father C. J. Conrad.
