Annie Kate Hurtt daughter of William Henry Hurtt and Clementine Herrington married James Leo Walls son of Samuel Seborn Walls Wauls and Lura Louisane Duke on June 13, 1915 in Belton, Bell Co. Texas.

James and Annie had 7 children, Mildred Oberia(Howard Carter}, Delma Lee (Marrion Odious Barrett}, Vera Pauline(Marjo James Troiano), Wilma Lucille{Hulon Starnes/Milton Little/James William Kridner), Mayron Leo(unmarried d.WWII @20, Beulah Jennell unmarried, Billy Joe{Juanita June Pullam}.

When Annie received news of her son "Sonny Boy's death in the Phillipine's in Nov 1944 she suffered a stroke which brought about the early onset of Huntington's disease (HD) a neurodegenerative genetic disorder. This was finally diagnoised by neurologist at the state hospital around 1959.

She and her sister, Irene Whitlock spent several years in their care at The Austin State Hospital in hopes of special treatment. There being no treatment or cure for this disease, her daughter, Lucy brought her home to live with her before her death in 1965. Later two daughters Lucille and Mildred, and son Billie would have Huntington's Disease for many years before their deaths.

Annie was loving, kindhearted, and generous and a great mother who loved and was loved by her family.
