He was born August 16, 1850 at Carthagena. He married Elizabeth Tape, who died September 13, 1917 in Minster. He then went to live with children in Dayton and later to Toledo to live with Mr. & Mrs. Stickley because of the death of a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Wehmeyer, who had been caring for him.
Besides Mrs. Stickley, Mr. Frey is survived by other children: William B. Frey & Clem. Frey, both of Dayton, Henry Frey of Toledo, Alex. T. Frey of Minster, and Joseph Frey of Osgood.
(Obituary also states "Only one member of their family is still living, William Frey of Kansas." This must be a brother - William Frey).
