Husband of
Katherine Loretta Mars 1904-1954.

He was the father to six children

John Joseph Horace Jr. 1923-2001
Katherine Margaret Horace Powell 1924-2014
Robert F. Horace 1925-1984
George J. Horace 1929-1997
James T. Horace 1931-2003
Mary P. Horace 1934-2011.

John's birth name was Kane and he had a Twin Sister Helen Kane and brother James Kane. Their parents were Patrick Kane and Helen Carolan, both from Ireland. Patrick and Ellen left Ireland for religious reason. Patrick and Ellen died a few months apart from each other around 1899. They died of TB.

John, Helen, and James were put in orphanages and only John was adopted. John was adopted, around the age of 5 to 9 years old, by very loving parents Patrick George Horace 1870-1951 and Catherine Fields 1878-1952.

John served in the Army during WWI. He was stationed in England and when he had a leave of absence he went over to Ireland to look up his relatives. Unfortunately his grandparents had passed away not long before he went to Ireland and apparently his relatives were not very nice to him as they thought he was coming after his grandparents property. So sad as we have now lost our connection with Ireland.

Siblings:

James Joseph Kane 1892 - 1950 buried Holy Sepulchre Findagrave memorial #139496458
Helen Clare Kane 1895 - 1980 died in Ashton PA burial unknown
