TWO DEATHS FROM INFLUENZA

The home of Mr. and Mrs. John Keever, near Muscatine, was saddened by the death of two members of the family within three days. On Tuesday, December 3, their little three weeks old grandson died, and on Friday, December 6, their daughter Bessie passed away. Both deaths were due to Spanish Influenza.

BESSIE BERNICE KEEVER.

Miss Bessie Bernice Keever, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Keever, died at her home near Muscatine, Iowa, December 6, 1918. She was born in Oakville, Iowa, October 4, 1903, aged at the time of her death 15 years, 1 month and 2 days.

She leaves to mourn her death, seven brothers, William, Charley, Martin, Henry and Ralph, also John and George, who reside near Muscatine, and two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Mason, of near Oakville, and Mrs. Arthur Patton, of Gladstone, Illinois. One baby brother preceded her in death. Beside the parents and immediate family, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her untimely death.

Her body was laid in it last resting place beside that of her little brother in Mallory cemetery, Sunday at 12 o'clock, Rev. C. E. Burdine conducting the services.
