WELTBURGER - November 8, 1919: In her home, 300 Church Street, on Wednesday morning Mrs. Frederike Quentmeyer passed away after an illness of many years duration. Though she seemed in good health for some time, she recently took a dramatic turn for the worse and passed away quickly. She was born in Germany on August 27, 1840 and came to the U.S. along with her parents in 1854. Her maiden name was Damann (sic). She married the late William F. Quentmeyer who preceeded her in death 12 years ago. She had three children, two daughters Mrs. Felix McLaughlin and Mrs. Fred Zipfel who preceeded her in death. One son, August C. Quentmeyer of Columbus survives, as does a brother, Carl as well as 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The funeral was on Friday, with Pastor H. Stertz officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
