Wm. F. Finkbiner, the oldest son of the late Christopher and Christina Finkbiner of Wabash, was born in Wabash January 1, 1851. He was educated and grew to manhood in this vicinity. March 14, 1878, he was married to Miss Emma Pine. To this happy union were born eight children. Three children and one grandchild preceded him in death; also his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

W.F. Finkbiner was indeed a kind and devoted husband and ever-loving father. By hard labor and good management, and the aid of his beloved wife, he owned a beautiful home and farm in Wabash township.

During the revival meeting at Zion church in January 1907 he gave his heart to God and was happily converted united with the church of the Evangelical Association on Sunday, Feb. 10, 1907, and was elected to the office of Exhorter and served faithfully and very exceptably and was glad to take the place of his father in the church. He attended Divine services most regular, therefore he was much loved and honored by all who knew him.

The deceased took sick about twelve days ago with lung fever. When the crisis came his strength failed and fell asleep in Jesus, fully prepared to meet his God in peace, Sunday evening at six o'clock May 1, 1908, at the age of 57 years, 3 months and 28 days.

He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, five children, John, Misses Alta, Grace, Anna and Lilly wife of Albert Tingey of Darwin township, and two grandchildren; aso three brothers and two sisters besides a large circle of relatives an a host of friends.
