Mary Jane was a daughter of John Baker and Mary Hannah Baker. She married Tilman Vanbuskirk on December 1, 1859 in Fayette Co. IN.

Mrs. Jane VanBuskirk, a prominent and well known woman of Falmouth, died at her home in that place Thursday evening about six o'clock, death resulting from a 13 week's illness. The deceased would have been 82 years old in May, and she was the widow of the late Tilman VanBuskirk, who preceded her in death a number of years ago. She is survived by two brothers, David Baker of Falmouth and James Baker of Milton. The services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Fairview cemetery church in charge of the Rev. G.
