Mrs. Padgett was born a daughter of Paul Fitchue Cox and Esta Theresa Kimmel Cox on March 31, 1925, in Andrews.
She was a Valedictorian graduate of Williamsburg High School and professional seamstress for many individuals and companies in the Andrews area.
Neta committed her life to acts of selfless giving, fervent prayer, and an unconditional love to earn her the distinguished title - Beloved Mother.
Neta and Fred were married on March 31, 1943, and celebrated 48 years together. From their blessed union was born: two children, Fred Davidson "Freddie" Padgett and Julia P. (Buddy) Wheeler; three grandsons, Lee Padgett, David Padgett, and Rob (Kelly) Padgett; and two great grandsons, Jackson Padgett and Oliver Padgett. She leaves behind: two sisters, Shirley (Billy) Bruorton-Jones and Myra (Norman) Rowell; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by: her husband, her son, and two brothers, Russell Paul Cox and Clifford Cox.
Service of Death and Resurrection will be 2 PM, October 18, 2011, at Trio United Methodist Church with interment in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
