ANDREWS - Clifford Cox, 79, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence. Mr. Cox was born in Andrews on June 11, 1928, a son of the late Paul Fitchue Cox and Esta Theresa Kimmel Cox. He grew up in the Earle Community of Williamsburg Co. and was a graduate of Williamsburg High School.
Mr. Cox retired from Oneita Industries after 33 years of employment. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andrews.
Mr. Cox was predeceased by: a brother, Russell P. Cox. Surviving are: his wife, Wanda Morris Cox; a son, Clifford Cox, Jr.; a daughter, Sharon C. Fenters; three sisters, Neta C. Padgett, Myra C. Rowell, and Shirley C. Jones; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be three o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 17, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Andrews.
Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
