Charlott Madeline "Peg" Parsons was born in Forest City, Missouri on Jan. 26, 1928. Peg was the third of four children of Joseph Oswald and Margaret Lois (Arnold) Munyon.
Peg graduated from Forest City High School in 1946. On June 25, 1947 she married Charles W. Parsons in Troy, Kansas. They became parents of two children, Jerry and Saundra.
Peg and Charles owned Parsons' Sundries in Forest City for many years. Peg also worked at the telephone company's Central Office, Brown's Café, and Turney's Grocery Store. Peg last worked at the Forest City Post Office.
Charles passed away in 1999. Peg passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 89. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Cromer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George Wohlford, Harold Harris, Robert Parsons, Charlene and Carol Masters, and Betty Robinson; and Saundra's partner, Carl Mackey.
Survivors include her son, Charles J. "Jerry" (Svitlana) Parsons; daughter, Saundra Markt; sister, Maxine Wohlford; brother, Albert (Mary Lee) Munyon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul Parsons, Richard and Mary Parsons, Darlene Harris, and Carolyn Parsons; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
