Obituary of Ardale Baumgardner

Dale Baumgardner, 72, of 5268 Bowers Road, Taneytown, Md., died enroute to Annie M Warner Hospital Monday morning.

He was the husband of Mary Ellen Bowers Baumgardner.

Born in Adams County, he was the son of the late Amos and Daisy Speelman Baumgardner.

Mr. Baumgardner was a farmer and a member of the Piney Creek Church of Brethren on Teeter Road near Taneytown and of the Taneytown Senior Citizens.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Mrs. Joseph A. Reaver, Gettysburg R. 2; Richard A. Baumgardner, Taneytown,Md.; Mrs. Helen Louise Pitzer, Abbottstown R. 1; David E. Baumgardner of Spring Grove; Timothy Lee, at home; three brothers, Samuel of Biglerville; Brenton of Shiremanstown, Pa.; Andrew of Orrtanna; three sisters, Pearl Baumgardner of Gettysburg; Mrs. Myrtle Ditzler of Hanover; and Mrs. Hazel Lafferty, Gettysburg; eight grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Littles Funeral Home in Littlestown with the Rev. John B. Grimley officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home this evening.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Littles' Funeral home in Littlestown for Dale Baumgardner, 72, of Taneytown, Md. who died Jan. 25. The Rev. John B. Grimley officiated. Burial was in Piney Creek Church of the Brethren on the Teeter Road near Taneytown. Pallbearers were Richard Cullison, Larry D. Cullison, Robert Pitzer, Joseph Reaver, Jack R. Ditzler and Ray Ditzler.
