MRS. ANTOINE LEVEQUE DEAD
Passes Away After Illness of Some Six Weeks
At 7:30 o’clock last evening Mrs. Antoine Leveque passed away at her home, 416 Old Abe street in this city after an illness of about six weeks. For several years past she had been suffering with an internal disorder, for which an operation was performed some years ago, but failed to give permanent relief. It was not until six weeks ago, however, that the seriousness of her condition became apparent and from that time her decline was steady. She was a woman of admirable character, whose devotion to her family was a striking feature of her character. When told a few days ago that she could not live, she seemed perfectly reconciled to death, and made all her wishes known to her family, as to hopes and plans for the future of her husband and children.
Amie Josephine Le Beault was born at Valecourt, Province of Quebec, thirty-four years ago and at that place was married to Antoine J. Leveque shortly before coming to Lead sixteen years ago, where she has since made her home. She is survived by four children, two boys and two girls, the oldest of whom, Joseph, is 15 years of age; the others are Louis, Jean and Cecile. Besides her husband, she leaves her father and mother, living at Valecourt, Quebec and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, interment in the South Lead Catholic cemetery.

Lead Daily Call, Friday, October 29, 1915, page 8:
The funeral of the late Mrs. Antoine Leveque will be held from St. Patrick’s cathedral tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. Father McCarthy officiating. Interment will be in the South Lead Catholic cemetery.

Lead Daily Call, Saturday, October 30, 1915, page 10:
Many friends of the family attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Antoine Leveque which took place from St. Patrick’s cathedral this morning. The services were conducted by Rev. Father McCarthy and interment made in the South Lead Catholic cemetery.

Lead Daily Call newspaper, December 7, 1915 - "Robert Simpson erected today three handsome granite monuments in Lead cemeteries. One over the grave of Mrs. A.J. Leveque in the Catholic cemetery, one for Nels Peterson in the Municipal cemetery and another for the James Jelbert Sr. plot in the K. of P. cemetery."
