She was born August 18, 1916 in Ogden, Utah, daughter of Clara Virtue Orton and James Alma Spackman.
Rhea married Jesse Clyde Moore on February 6, 1933 in Farmington, Utah; he died in 1991.
Mom enjoyed traveling, bridge, playing cards with friends and family, and loved getting together with her family.
Even though her hearing and vision had weakened, mom still had a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp mind, which she attributed to her love of crossword and Sudoku puzzles and bridge. We have inherited her love of adventure and travel and her appetite for pizza.
She was a member of the Taylor Canyon Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Special thanks to longtime neighbors, Newmans, Roberts, Myers, and the many friends she made playing bridge. Also to Pineview Transitional Rehab, Alpine Hospice, and the outstanding care of Comfort Keepers, Gigi Poulson, and Sharon West for their constant loving care and devotion to mom as well as the whole family.
Rhea is survived by her children, Joan (Keith) Hunt, Robert Clyde (Cora) Moore, Donald Kenneth Moore, Janet (Ray) Barrios; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren with two more due; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, John Ernest Spackman; and son, James Lewis Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday prior to the services from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m.
