She was born January 23, 1873 in Quebec to Violette Moise Dolphant Beausoleil and Saphronia Roseann (Norton) Bosley
She came from a very musical family. She was a part of The Bosley Family Band, This photo clip is from a larger photo of then entire family band and their one armed band manager. She played several instruments and she passed that talent down to her children. There wasn't an instrument they couldn't play.
She was married to William Alexis Haynes on October 1, 1888 in Les Cheneaux, MI. Together they had seven children;
Annie, George, Irene, Henry, Robert, Claude and Lyle.
Ida Isadora and her son George Nelson Haynes both died of the "Spanish Flu or the Flu of 1918" that claimed almost 100 million lives worldwide, 50% of the population. According to the family story, they died an hour apart on the evening of Feb 14, 1919 in the worst blizzard every recorded. The undertaker was taking them from their home on an Island on the St. Mary's river, in Les Cheneuax to the Catholic cemetery. The sled broke, he pretty much buried them on the spot. There had been a recent Indian burial and the ground was cleared so he buried them there. Our family has placed headstone but there is one Indian woman's stone in our Haynes Family Plot that has a blueish moon on it. Apparently that is the only identifiable Indian marker that remains.
This little family cemetery is on the side of the road in a persons yard. A cousin has tried to purchase this tiny little area of land but he will not sell it to us. He did let our great Auntie fence it in and like I said we have placed headstones there.
