Mary Louella Garis, 77, of Wayne Street, Parker, died early Wednesday, Aug 4, 1999, in Sugar Rest Home, Worthington RD 2, following a short illness.
Born April 19, 1922, in Barger Hollow, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Andrew and Anna Elizabeth Zimmerly Rumbarger.

Mrs. Garis was employed for some time as custodian at the former Parker Church of God. She was a member of the Park Hill Church of God at West Freedom. Mrs. Garis was a homemaker and enjoyed guilting.

She was married in Callensburg Aug. 6, 1949, to Donald E. Garris, who survives. They would have marked their 50th wedding anniversary this Friday.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter and her husband, Janice and Larry Kline of Bruin; and a grandson, Eli A. Kline of Burin. She is also survived by three brothers, Kenneth Rumbarger of Butler, Lloyd Rumbarger of Harrisville and Alvin Rumbarger of East Brady; a sister, Mrs. Stanley (Leona) Garver of Kittanning; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Arby Rumbarger.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Christopher M. Hile Funeral Home, St. Petersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lonny Wolford, senior pastor of the Park Hill Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Perryville Cemetery, Perry Township, Clarion County. Memorial may be made to the Park Hill Church of God, RD 2, Parker, Pa. 16949
