Kenneth Rumbarger

Kenneth W. "Ken" Rumbarger, 90, formerly of 314 Oneida Valley Road, died Wednesday at Sugar Creek Rest, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.

Born March 20, 1914, in West Monterey, Armstrong County, he was a son of Andrew and Elizabeth Zimmerly Rumbarger.

He was a retired white-oil operator and had worked for Witco Chemical Corp. for 39 before he retired in 1979. He was a member of the I.A.M. Union.

Mr. Rumbarger was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. He was a life member of the Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed gardening and hunting.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth E. Rumbarger of Hobe Sound, Fla., and Richard L. Rumbarger of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Marilyn) Ranttila of Brookfield, Ohio, Carol Stiehler of Karns City and Mrs. Jerry (Kay) Stonebraker of Fenelton; and two brothers, Alvin Rumbarger of Stratenburg and Lloyd Rumbarger of Callensburg. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

His wife, Dorothy C. Relic Rumbarger, whom he married May 7, 1936, died May 4, 2003. A daughter, a brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.

RUMBARGER - Friends of Kenneth W. Rumbarger, who died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Burial will follow at Dutch Hill Cemetery, Perry Township, Clarion County.

The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 10:35 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Butler, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001
