Charles Louis Roedig, son of Charles Roedig & Maria Kieselhorst, (husband of Irene Maria Wilhelmina Wehausen, marriage 27 October 1923 at Trinity Lutheran, Town Liberty) born on 17 October 1901 in Manitowoc, baptized 17 November 1901 at First German Lutheran, confirmed on Pentecost 1916 at St. John UCC, Manitowoc (S 15 & Marshall). Died on 3 May 1978 in Manitowoc, buried 6 May 1978, service at Immanuel Lutheran, Manitowoc, burial at Knollwood Cemetery.

CHARLES LOUIS ROEDIG
Charles L. Roedig, 76, of 3805 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, died late Wednesday morning in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Private family funeral service will be in Urbanek & Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Roedig was born Oct. 17, 1901 in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Mary Kezelhorst Roedig. He was reared and educated in Manitowoc County where he spent his entire life and married Irene M. Wehausen October 27, 1923 in the Town of Liberty. Mr. Roedig had been engaged in farming until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; three sons, Charles A. of Valders, Robert of Manitowoc and Daniel of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Lucille) Hartley of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Gerald (Florence) Schultz of Milwaukee, Mrs. Roger (Marion) Vander Sande, Miss Irene Roedig, Mrs. Farrell (Grace) Maule, Mrs. Victor (June) Benevente and Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Molendi of Manitowoc, Mrs. David (Gladys) Budysz of Francis Creek, Mrs. William (Virginia) Combs of Kenosha and Miss Betsey Roedig of Fresno, Calif.; three brothers, Joseph of Crivitz, Adolph of Fort Myers, Fla., and Richard of Manitowoc; 25 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. An infant daughter, Betty and two brothers, Louis and Herman preceded him in death.
There will be no public visitation in the funeral home.
