Grace married Farrel Maule on July 26, 1958. She was very active in her community. Grace was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Fire & Rescue; she helped organize the Silver Cliff Cemetery, and was a long-time member of the Athelstane Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed cake decorating, cooking, sewing, gardening, and loved her red geraniums. Grace was especially known for her sharp wit, wonderful sense of humor and could make everyone giggle. She loved watching the Green Bay Packers.
Grace is survived by her husband of 57 years, Farrel; daughter, Brenda (Kurt) Platten; four grandchildren: Ashley (Matthew) Mueller, Brandon (Courtney), Brittany(special friend Mike Schroeder), and Steven all Platten; great granddaughter, Gabriella Grace; seven brothers and sisters: Charles (Geneva) Roedig, Robert Roedig, Lucille (Elmer) Hartley, Marian Vander Sandy, Joyce Molendi, Betsy Roedig, and Danny (Rose Mary) Roedig; and further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Virginia {William} Combs, Florence, Gladys, June {Victor} Beneventi, Irene, and Infant Betty Ann; sister-in-law, Patricia Roedig; and two brother-in-laws: Roger Vander Sandy and Joseph Roedig.
A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be 12p.m. on Tuesday December 29, 2015, at Athelstane Presbyterian Church with dear friend Pastor Lin Wittmann officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
