Estherville – Services for Burdell Hagedorn, 59, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Mavis officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery with military graveside services by V.F.W. Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91 of Estherville. He died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1992 at Glacier Ridge Hospital, Glenwood, Minn.
Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home rom 4-9 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born August 2, 1933 at Royal, the son of James and Nora (Hendricksen) Hagedorn and attended Royal Community School. On Sept. 19 1957 he was united in marriage with Myrna Ostheimer at Union Baptist Church in Estherville. The couple lived in Spencer where he served a five year apprenticeship in Webster's Plumbing and Heating. They moved to Estherville where he owned and operated a plumbing and heating business for thirty years. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church where he was a member of the board of trustees for over 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna, Estherville; sons, Steve of LaCrosse, Wi. And Rod of Des Moines; brothers: Forrest, Bill and Herbert, all of Spirit Lake; Kenneth, Davenport and Ronnie, Eudora, Kansas; Sisters: Virginia Watersdorf, Davenport and Oral Jean Aubin, Cheyenne, Wyo.
