Kenneth was born Aug. 16, 1927, in Royal, Iowa, the son of James and El Nora (Hendrickson) Hagedorn. He was united in marriage to Mary L. Dirks on Jan. 19, 1947, in Davenport. She died May 3, 2008.
He had worked for 30 years at Farmhouse Foods and also at several other companies in the Quad Cities prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Teamsters Union.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially taking his grandchildren to their various sporting activities.
Those left to honor his memory include sons, James of Glasford, Ill., John (Diane), Don (Pam), Tim and Terry "T.J.," all of Davenport; daughters, Sharon Bogosian, Karen Hagedorn and Mary Beth Jennett and daughter-in-law, Patricia Hagedorn, all of Davenport; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Waltersdorf of Davenport and Orla Jean Swallow of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and brothers, Herbert of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Ronald of DeSoto, Kan.
His parents; sons, Richard, Robert, David and Kenneth; five brothers; and two sisters preceded him in death.
Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
