King-In Bellmont, New York, suddenly, Aug 18th. Mrs. John King, aged 86 years.
Friday night previous to her death Mrs. King was as well as usual but the next morning when Mr. King awoke he found his wife's life had nearly gone out. He hastened to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Pat Coughlin, who lives nearby, and summoned the assistance of the family. Their efforts revived Mrs. King a little, but she remained unconscious most of the day and expired that night. She was a loyal and cherished mother and friend and is mourned by many. The married life of Mr. and Mrs. King extended over a long period of 72 years. Deceased was the mother of fourteen children, of whom only four survive to cherish her memory. These are Mrs. Coughlin, Mrs. Clarence Smith, of Faust, Peter King, of Bellmont, and James King, of Malone. There are some brothers, whose whereabouts are unknown, and many grandchildren. The funeral was held from Notre Dame Church August 21st. The husband of deceased, who survived, is 88 years old.
