LEWISTOWN - William D. Bowen Sr., 83, of 289 Winding Lane, Lewistown, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 1999, at his residence.
Born July 6, 1915, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Cloyd and Laura (Kauffman) Bowen. His wife, Mary K. Bowen, died May 3, 1995.
Surviving are: children, William D. Bowen Jr., 315 Winding Lane, Lewistown, Howard "Bud" Bowen, 261 Winding Lane, Lewistown, and Mrs. John (Kathryn) Miller, 289 Winding Lane, Lewistown; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
He was a self-employed farmer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Leon R. Clayberger officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
