ADOLPH MILLER DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

Pioneer Resident Had Been Living Here Over Fifty Years

Adolph Miller, a well known Macon resident, died at the home of his son, George, last night after a short illness. Mr. Miler was 89 years of age, and was born in Germany, coming to America and Macon county about 50 years ago. In 1863 he married Katherine Oswine (Auswine). Nine children were born to this union, three of whom are now dead. Mrs. Miller died nineteen years ago and since that time he has made his home with his son George.

The following children survive: Mrs. John Porter of Redmon, Theodore Miller of Anabel, Peter Miller of Ten Mile, George Miller of Macon, Mrs. Sherman Belt of Redmond and Mrs. John Walls of Huntington, VA. The last named has not yet arrived in Macon, but is expected to get here this evening.

Mr. Miller was a kind and loving father and a splendid citizen and leaves many friends.

The funeral will take place Sunday morning at 11 o'clock from Mt. Zion church, the Rev. W. H. Yount conducting the services. Interment will be made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
