Ambrose Flees, 72, Rosholt, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point, surrounded by family.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at 11 a.m., at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church in Rosholt. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, and from 9:30 a.m. Monday morning at the Church. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday Eve. at the Funeral Home. Ambrose was born January 13, 1939, in the town of New Hope, a son of the late Alois and Anne (Yenter) Flees. He attended Peru School, then St. Adalbert's Catholic School, graduating from Rosholt High School in 1957.

He was married to Esther Eron on Sept. 8, 1962, at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Mill Creek.

They lived in Milwaukee, where they worked at Briggs-Stratton Inc. In 1966, Ambrose moved his family to Rosholt where he was a potato farmer until he retired. Esther was called from his side, Nov. 27, 1972.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, polka music, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. His presence will be missed, his memory will be shared forever.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Sommers, Eau Claire; two sons, Daniel (Dorothy), Marshfield and Richard (Melanie), Rosholt; six sisters, Margaret (Norman) Biadasz, Amherst, Caroline (Chester) Eron, Junction City, Eleanor (Dave) Richter, Rosholt, Anne (Ron) Tzrebiatowsi, Amherst, Bernadette (Robert) Ward, Ulysses, Kan. and Helen (Dave) Pliska, Rosholt; four brothers, Leonard, Rosholt, Lawrence, Greenfield, Henry (Dorothy), Rosholt, and Alois, Jr., Greenfield; six grandchildren; Kathryn Flees, Cynthia (Thomas) Varjabedian, Amanda Flees, Heidi Flees, Brady Sommers and Brooke Sommers, and special friend Phyllis Wierzba. He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, and his parents.

Ambrose will be ushered to his final resting place by: David Simonis, Scott Suchowski, Brian Flees, Michael Sommers, Ron Trzebiatowski and Heidi Flees.
