Edward Stauffer, 82, a retired and well known Wood County resident died yesterday at his residence on the Oregon Road after a long illness. Mr. Stauffer had lived the greater part of his life in the Perrysburg area and was well and favorably known.
He was born July 22, 1864 in Perrysburg Township to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stauffer. He was a retired farmer.
Services will be Thursday at two p.m. in the Witzler mortuary, Perrysburg with interment in the Fort Meigs Cemetery.
Surviving are sons Frank Stauffer, Toledo; Bert Stauffer, Portage; Elmer Stauffer and Ross Stauffer-Kindervater, both of Perrysburg; daughters Nellie, Perrysburg; and Mrs. Harmon Spurgeon, Toledo; stepson, Edward Bierman, Tampa, Florida and sister, Mrs. William Teall, Toledo. Nine grandchildren also survive.
