John P. Eisenhauer of Gilead, Nebr., passed away Friday, June 28, 1947 in a Fairbury hospital at the age of 58 years, 7 months and 3 days.
John P. Eisenhauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Eisenhauer of Gladstone, Nebr., was born November 25, 1888, In 1913 he married Hannah Uphoff and to them were born two children, a daughter, Marselle, who passed away July 3, 1945, and a son, Harold.
He farmed in the Gilead-Gladstone vicinity and in recent years was a road maintainer in Thayer county.
Surviving are his wife, and son Harold, at the home in Gilead; mother, Mrs. Henry Wiltfang of Silver Valley, Ill.; two brothers, Philip and Henry of Gladstone, and by four sisters, Tena, Mrs. J. J. Uphoff of Deshler, Martha, Mrs. Fred Sasse of Diller, Anna, Mrs. Henry Siebolts of near Fairbury, and Margaret, Mrs. August Messing of Gilead.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Gilead with Rev. O. R. Heinitz of near Daykin, officiating. Burial in the west Gladstone church cemetery.
