HANNIBAL - Albert R. Caldwell Sr., 61, of Hannibal, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Gerald Begley will officiate. Burial, with full military rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55, will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the funeral home.
Mr. Caldwell was born June 3, 1941, in Hannibal to Raymond Cash and Mercedes Allen Caldwell.
He was married to Dorothy (Vicky) Harris on July 17, 1972, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Hannibal; one brother, Ronald L. Caldwell and special friend, Charlotte, of Hannibal; two sisters, Shirley Phelps and husband, Larry, and Marilyn Webb and husband, Jack, both of Palmyra; one son, Albert R. Caldwell Jr. and special friend, Deanie Duncan of Hannibal; one stepdaughter, Debbie Nichols and husband, Robert C., of Hannibal; one grandchild, Kirk R. Caldwell; and four stepgrandchildren, Cody Nichols, Kelsi Nichols, Kelsi Duncan and Kayla Duncan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Catherine Caldwell.
Mr. Caldwell was U.S. Army veteran. He worked for more than 20 years at Grand View Nursery as a small engine mechanic. He attended Southside Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
