Archie was the youngest son of Lonie Edward ("Ed") Ogletree and his wife Rosa (Freeman) Ogletree.
The information I have is from old family records, family photos with captions, and the CA Death Index, which confirms that his mother's maiden name is Freeman.
Although the CA death record states he was born in California, I think the informant was in error, because to my knowledge the family had not yet come out from Texas to CA. Evidence for that is in the 1930 US Census: Ed and Rosa, Archie's parents, are in Precinct 1, Castro, Texas, and Archie is two years old.
