Mr. Baldwin was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Ray P. Baldwin and Meta Smoak Baldwin. He was a 1934 graduate of Clemson and was a former teacher in Bamberg and Orangeburg County public schools. Mr. Baldwin was a former business manager at Santee Cotton Mills in Orangeburg and a former business manager with Hawthorne School of Aeronautics during World War II. He was a retired salesman with Kingsdown Bedding Company. Following his retirement, Mr. Baldwin served as a part-time accountant with Orangeburg Heating and Cooling. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Tiner Baldwin of the home; a daughter, the Rev. Gayle R. Baldwin of Milwaukee, Wis.; two grandsons, Cpl. Robert Baldwin Miley of Jacksonville, NC, and Marc Baldwin Miley of Florence; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
