Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Walker of Garrard County, Ruth Cox of Lake City, Fla., and Virginia Wilson and Nancy Moore, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sons, Duke Shearer of Colorado Springs and Paul Pritchard of Fort Wayne; two brothers, William Shearer of Perryville and Omer Shearer Jr. of Stanford; four sisters, Lula May Camel and Flora Dailey, both of Lancaster, Christine Rutledge of Cincinnati, and Marie Whitehouse of Junction City; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Delaney. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Note: Although Cecil was raised by his father and second wife, Effie Harp Shearer, he was the son of Mollie Phillips Shearer.
