Mrs. Bertha E. Holliday, 67, died Friday, March 3, 1939. Death was caused by paralysis. Bertha E. Thompson was born January 29, 1872, a daughter of the late Samuel R. and Ellen Thompson. She was married to George H. Holliday.
The deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Archie (Ada) Bechtel, of Emlenton; Samuel J. Holliday, of Dutch Hill; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Bechtel, of Emlenton; Lee Holliday, of Reidsburg; Mrs. Howard (Jessie) Stewart, of Rimersburg; John B. and Frank Holliday, both of Callensburg. Twenty-eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Three sons and one daughter, Paul, Claude, Earl, and Leeda, preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of the Church of God for many years. Interment was in the Callensburg Cemetery.
