Mrs. Anton Rott Laid to Rest at Jericho. Mrs. Anton Rott, who died at her home at Jericho May 9, was buried from Holy Trinity church, Jericho, Monday at 9:30 a.m., Rev. Francis C. Heimann officiating. Women of the Christian Mothers' society, of which she was a member, paid their last tribute of respect to her by attending the funeral in a body. The funeral was in charge of the Pfeffer Funeral Home here. Pallbearers were: Henry Schneider, John Wagner, Arthur Arenz, Nick Lisowe, Frank Popp, Frank Ludwig. Six women acted as honorary pallbearers: Mrs. Pauline Ritzke, Mrs. Margaret Lodus, Mrs. Catherine Kuehnl, Mrs Mary Popp, Mrs. Elisabeth Klasen, Mrs. Catherine Lisowe. Mrs. John Wagner was cross bearer. Mrs. [Theresa] Rott was born Feb. 3, 1863 in Marytown [to Francis and Elisabeth Leitner Wettstein. Her marriage to Nicholas Schockmel took place on July 12, 1881 at Holy Cross Church, Mt. Calvary. He died in 1892.] Her marriage to Anton Rott took place at Jericho Jan. 7, 1897. Survivors are her husband and four children, Nick Schockmel, Mrs. Anna Schneider, Mrs. Mary Halfman, Mrs. Louisa Hoffman; two step-children, Mrs. Rose Theyerl and Nick Rott; and 18 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nick Rollmann; three brothers, Charles Wettstein, Oconto Falls; Adrian Wettstein, Wabeno; Julius Wettstein, Chilton.
