Unfortunately her actual year of death remains somewhat ambiguous. A number of other records suggest she died on 28 September 1862. That is the date my great-grandmother Malinda Hawes Hall (Grandniece of her husband) had in her records. If one calculates from Nancy's date of birth in 1804 to the 61 years and 3 months noted in the inscription you would get an 1865 date of death. An 1862 death date would make her age at death 58 yrs 3 months. Unfortunately the image of the stone on her memorial does not include the age at death.
