Emma Streit, 86, passed away February 25, 1990 in Vernon, Texas. She was born April 10, 1903 in the Streit Settlement southwest of Vernon to Fred and Rosina Guggisberg Streit.Funeral services were at 2 p.m tuesday in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Gerlack, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. She never married and stayed on the farm to help as her mother passed away in 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Goetze; 7 brothers, Fred Jr., Karl, Oscar, Albert, John, George and E.P. She is buried in the Eastview Cemetery in Vernon. Survivors include 16 nieces and nephews.
