US Congressman. He graduated from Yale College in 1808, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1811 and commenced the practice of law in Cazenovia, New York. He was a of the New York State Assembly. In 1823, he was elected as a Crawford Republican to the Eighteenth Congress, serving until 1825. Not a candidate for re-nomination, he resumed the practice of law, was judge of the common pleas court of Madison County, New York, and District Attorney of Madison County.
