Cambridge — Mrs. Freeda Alexander, 65, of 716 Taylor avenue, Cambridge, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday in Cambridge Community Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Lebanon Feb. 4, 1899, daughter of Nazira Sahak Alexander and the late Samuel Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Women's Club and Community Hospital Auxiliary. She was married June 22, 1914 to Michael Alexander, who survives, along with one daughter, Mrs. Marie M. Faliba of Caldwell; two sons (sic), Dr. Edward J. Alexander and Robert L. Alexander, both of Cambridge; Major George J. Alexander of Dobbins Air Force Base, Ga.; and Alex M. Alexander of Columbus. Five sisters, Mrs. Florence Riley and Mrs. Sadie Wright, both of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Evelyn Spencer of California; Mrs. Isabelle Lazar of Warren; and Mrs. Cecelia Panutti of Hillsville, Pa.; a brother, Alex Alexander of Detroit, Mich.; and 21 grandchildren. Requiem holy mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Benedict's with Rev. Frances Trettel officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at McCracken-Thorn Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at the funeral home.
