Archie L. Evans, 76, of Little Hope, R.D. 3, North East, died Friday at Hamot Hospital.
The son of the late Edward and Emma Adams Evans was born in Greenfield Twp. on Nov. 14, 1895.
Mr. Evans worked for the Erie County Milk Association at Little Hope, and later operated his own dairy farm for 40 years. He served as a school director for Greenfield school system for several years.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Bogert and Mrs. Ira H (sic) (Jean) Wiggers, both of North East; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Goodrich of North East and Mrs. Mabel Staley of Ashtabula; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Edith Hartley who died in Oct. 31, 1967.
Friends may call at the Turner Funeral Home, 92 South Lake Rd., North East, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend services Monday at 2 p.m. With the Rev. Clifford Hoien of the Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in North East cemetery.
