Mrs. Minnie Ellen Griffin, 84, of Kincaid, IL., passed away at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in Taylorville Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL.

Minnie was born February 5, 1927, in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Chester LeRoy and Beulah May Toll Cook. She married Wilbert H. "Windy" Griffin, Sr., on September 12, 1962, in Springfield, IL. Mr. Griffin preceded her in death February 21, 1983. Mrs. Griffin was a member of Kincaid Church of God. She loved her family, fishing, crocheting, and cross stitching.

Surviving are: six daughters; one son, along with several stepchildren, four sisters, four brothers, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid. Rev. Steven Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Harper's Ferry Cemetery, rural Palmer, IL.

Visitation will be held at Masterson's from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday.
