Rites pending for Mrs. Obra Parks
Rudd--Services are pending for Mrs. Obra Parks who died Monday evening in Mercy Hospital, Mason City, where she had been a patient since Friday. She and her husband owned and operated Buck and Millie's Tavern at Rudd.

Rudd--Funeral services for Mrs. Obra (Millie) Parks, 55, Rudd, will be Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Major Memorial Chapel, Mason City, with the Rev. Leroy E. Bauman, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be from 3 p. m. Wednesday until time of service.
Mrs. Parks operated restaurants at Joice and Mason City before coming to Rudd two years ago.
She was born Dec. 17, 1913 at Emmetsburg, the daughter of Calvin and Alice [B]oster. She was married Sept. 26, 1927 at Rodman to Ervin Leonard who died in 1941. She was married to Obra C. Parks June 15, 1963 in Mason City.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Beryl) Keller, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Barney (Helen) Hoffman, Grand Junction, and Mrs. Raymond (Janith) Overbeck, Mason City; three sons, Jim and Nick Leonard, Waukesha, Wis. and Sgt. Major Dalton Leonard, Columbus, Ga; four step-children, Mrs. William (Laura) Elsbury, Mason City, Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Hinderocker, Lake Mills, Mrs. Becky Blakewell, Phoenix, Ariz., S-Sgt LeRoy Parks, Albuquerque, N. Mex.; 21 grandchildren; and two great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two grandchildren."
