DELOACH-ANTOINE Viola Marie DeLoach-Antoine, died on June the 12, 2012, at Providence Hospital. She was born on January the 26th, 1914, in Thomas-ville, Alabama. Marie lived all her adult life in Mobile; where she worked tirelessly in the Mobile County Public School System as a principal and an admini-strator. Marie retired after 33 years of unblemished service. Marie had an advanced degree in Educa-tion from Auburn Univer-sity. Her degrees, and academic achievements, were rare for anyone in those prewar days and especially so for a woman. Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Antoine-Leidy; and her husband, Walter Frances Antoine.
A private graveside ser-vice will be held Wednes-day, June the 20, 2012, at Pine Crest West at 11:00 am.
