Obituary from Post Register (Idaho Falls, ID) - Thursday, October 9, 1975:
Max Wesley Russell, 49, of Menan, sheet metal and gas filling worker, died i his home Wednesday evening of an apparent heart attack.
Born January 14, 1926 in Rigby, he was the son of Wesley Waitstill and Sylvan Elnora Petersen Russell. He attended Rigby schools.
He was married to Betty Jean Wadley, May 27, 1950 in Wyoming.
He was a member of the National Cutter Assn. He helped organize the first cutter association in Idaho Falls. He worked in 4-H, he engaged in flat-track horse racing and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Assn.
He was employed throughout the area on gas fitting and sheet metal work.
Survivors include his wife of Menan; one daughter, Dona Marie Russell of Menan; three sons, Craig Russell of Idaho Falls, Clay Alan Russell and Curt LeRoy Russell, both the Menan; two brothers, Ned Russell and Sharon Russell, both of Rigby; sisters, Mrs. C. M. (Shirley) DeWiner of Rigby, Mrs. Arnold (Faye) Radford, and Mrs. Darwin (Nina) Croll, both of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Wayne (Leah) Radford of Ririe; Mrs. Sonny (Ramona) Hancock of Thornton, and Mrs. Wendell (Loan) Radford of Labelle; three grandchildren.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel with Bishop Dallas Raymond officiating. Interment will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
