William C. Adams, 74 year old resident of 903 N. School St., Normal, died there at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday. He had been ill a week.
He was taken to the Beck Memorial Home. Services will be held there at 2 p.m. Saturday and burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. Gordon White will officiate, assisted by the Rev. R. J. Zehr.
William Chancey Adams was born near Downs Aug. 19, 1878, the son of Luther and Lena Adams. He married Jessie Alice Teter Sept. 9, 1897. They lived in Downs and Wichita, Kans., until 1919 where they came to Normal.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Frink, 206 E Poplar St., Normal, and a son Harry L. Adams, Plainfield. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Guy L. Smith, lives at Pana.
Mr. Adams was a member of Normal's First Methodist Church. He was once assistant poultry chief of the State of Illinois and was later a salesman for the G. E. Conkey Feed Co.
