Lucille V. Van Lith, 84, a 39 year resident of the Lake Chelan area, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Regency Care Center in Chelan. She was born January 8, 1927, at Flathead, MT and spent her early years there, before moving to Yakima, WA with her family. On July 27, 1947, she was married to Robert Van Lith at Yakima. They resided at Yakima for 21 years before moving to Cashmere, WA. In 1972, they moved to Chelan. Her husband preceded her in death in 1998.
She is survived by her children: Robert of Chelan, Tom (Lori) of Wenatchee, Sherry Mitchell (Jack) of East Wenatchee, Carolyn Jacobson (Neil) of Waterville and Michael (Betty) of Wenatchee; a sister, Lorraine Van Lith of Marysville; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Thorpe, in 2010; an infant daughter; six brothers; and two sisters.
A Tribute Service will take place Monday, September 19, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at the Entiat Cemetery, with Rev. Don Hussong officiating. Services have been entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
