James W. Cornwell, 72, of Olla, who died at his home Sunday night about 7 o'clock, was buried Tuesday afternoon in Tidwell cemetery at Kelly, following final rites held at the family residence in Olla.

A lifelong resident of Olla, Mr. Cornwell was a farmer by occupation. He was a member of the Methodist church at Olla.

Mr. Cornwell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Cornwell, five daughters, Mrs. Lora Love of McCartney of Lake Charles, Mrs. Mildred Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mrs. Ruth Addison of Cotton Valley [only three named]; three sons, Quincy of Urania, Ermon of Trout and C. R. of Olla; two brothers, Millard of Olla and John of Kelly; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wilson of Urania; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Revs. Jesse Norris and J. P. Owens conducted the final rites, with interment under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals, Jena.
